Buying art on the Internet is a confidential matter!
Before you commit to buying the items you are interested in we would like to give you the opportunity to contact us personally beforehand and discuss the desired transaction. The fact that there is no direct means of purchase on this site in no way restricts a quick and smooth transaction.

Terms and Conditions

1. Authenticity, validity and origin
The items that we are offering are exclusively originals. Later editions, facsimiles or copies are explicitly labelled as such. We guarantee the proper and legal origin of our items. A certificate of authenticity will be delivered with the goods upon request.

2. Specifications
The specifications drawn up by us have been compiled to the best of our knowledge and convey a comprehensive and realistic impression of the item. Unless stated otherwise the items are complete and in good condition. Items can be viewed in their entirety by prior arrangement.

3. Prices
All prices displayed on our website are net prices in Euros. The applicable VAT (currently either 7% or 19%) is not included and will be charged additionally and labelled as such. This does not apply to goods subject to margin scheme taxation. These are labelled with a “*” after the price where the offered items are listed. Commercial buyers within the EU who provide us with their valid VAT number are exempt from paying VAT. Buyers from countries outside the EU will receive a refund to the sum of VAT paid if they provide proof of export within 8 weeks of purchase.

Included in the price are the Germany-wide insured postage costs via DHL, inclusive of the packaging costs. Express delivery, freights and deliveries overseas (that deviate from standard) are not included in the price and are to be agreed separately on an individual basis. Any additional costs resulting from individual means of payment, foreign currency exchange rates or import duties (e.g. PayPal charges) will be paid by the buyer.

4. Ordering, Payment and Transfer of Ownership
An order or a commission is deemed legally binding once it has been confirmed by us in writing or an invoice has been sent by us. Confirmation / an invoice by email or telefax is formally sufficient for this purpose. The billing amount is to be transferred in full within a week to the account stated on the invoice. The goods remain the property of Katrin Hofmann, Tilo Hofmann or their commissioners until full payment has been made. In the case that goods are not received personally, the stipulations of the Distance Selling Act apply unconditionally. These can be found under “disclaimer” or in our General Terms and Conditions.

5. Delivery, Insurance and Export
Secure packaging and insured delivery of goods within the EU takes place within 3-4 working days. Terms of delivery for freights and/or items to be exported to non-EU countries will be agreed separately and on an individual basis.

Export papers required by law or mandatory export papers from the customs authorities can be obtained by us on your behalf upon request.
